Thyristor/Diode Module

Description:

Diode module is also called rectifier module, it’s a two electrodes device, the conductive current is only one direction allowed, reverse direction will be blocked. Diode module is composed of one PN junction and two external electrodes. The electrode lead from the P-type layer is anode-A, the electrode lead from N-type layer is cathode-K. It’s mainly used to realize the rectify requirement. It’s properly applied in the rectify power supply, such as electroplating, electrolysis, electric welding, plasma arc drawing, charging and discharging, and voltage stabilization. 

Connection Circuit

Introduction:

1. Package structures of diode module manufactured by RUNAU Electronics are compress and solder structures. For the average current more than 160A, the compress-structure thyristor module is highly recommended.
2. Thyristor chip produced under USA manufacturing standard with low VFM, small power consumption.
3. DCB and ALN substrate in high flatness will ensure the strength and stability of compressed combination with thyristor chip, the excellent thermal conductivity, fast heat dissipation, higher anti-impact of surge current and voltage.
4. Base plate was isolated and isolation level upon 2500V to protect human safety.
5. Module appearance of compress structure module is more beautiful. Small size, less weight, easy to install and maintain.
6. Performance of lifetime, working efficiency and characteristics are higher than solder structure module.
7. European mode module package of D series is available to be provided.     

Technical specification：

1. Diode module in compress structure manufactured by RUNAU Electronics, range of I_FAV from 90A to 1200A and V_RRM from 1200V to 4500V.
2. The cooling mode of module I_FAV less than 350A is air force cooling while more than 400A is air cooling or water cooling according to requirement of application.
3. In order to ensure the diode module operating under the safe condition and normal performance, the current of diode module selected is recommended for 2-3 times of rated load current in addition to the load character.  
4. Diode module installed on air cooling heatsink, the thermal silica grease is suggested to be spread evenly between the module base plate and heatsink surface. The fasten force of 4 bolts to fix module on heatsink should be even such the surface of module base plate and heatsink will be connected tightly in order to ensure the heat performance.
